EPA Has Released Analysis of the Benefits and Costs of Radon Reduction
Published December 15th, the paper outlines how, despite some uncertainty around the costs and effectiveness of certain radon installations, the EPA approach to radon intervention provides a positive net benefit to society. This conclusion holds true across a reasonable range of assumptions applied to the variables. The purpose of this analysis is to compare updated estimates of costs and benefits associated with the EPA’s program for reducing radon in homes, and to help state or local agencies make informed investments in lung cancer prevention initiatives.
NRAM Proclamations: A Step-by-Step Guide
Proclamations are an important way you can help spread radon awareness and action. A proclamation is a legal declaration by your local Mayor or Governor declaring January as National
Radon Action Month. This guide will give you step-by-step instructions on how to contact your local
officials, provide a template, and encourage you to share your success!
