Webinar: Best Practices for Radon Test Kit Distribution Programs

The American Lung Association is holding a free, one-hour webinar to learn more about best practices for radon test kit distribution programs that enhance utilization and support radon reduction.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 18th  |  12PM – 1PM CT

Providing access to radon test kits is an important first step, but getting residents to complete testing and take action based on their results is what ultimately makes a difference in reducing radon exposure and preventing lung cancer. This past year, the Lung Association conducted a multi-method evaluation of radon test kit distribution programs across the country.

Featuring three programs operating at the local, county, and state levels, presenters will share program components that have been effective in their communities, why those approaches work within their unique landscapes, and lessons learned from implementation.

Each board member contributes countless volunteer hours to help grow the Association and guide the strategic plan that keeps it strong and relevant. Our sincere thanks go to all who serve.
We offer special recognition to our outgoing directors: Dawn Oggier, Nationally Elected Director, President of the Florida IEA Chapter, member of the IEA Vapor Intrusion Stakeholder Committee, former Bylaws Committee Chair, and Symposium Co-Chair; and Aaron Friedrich, Nationally Elected Director and member of the IEA Vapor Intrusion Stakeholder Committee. Their leadership, dedication, and commitment to the Association have made a lasting impact, and we thank them for their many contributions in support of IEA and its members.

Symposium 2026 In the Books

The recently concluded Indoor Environments 2026 Radon & Vapor Intrusion Symposium brought together 357 attendees representing 46 states and 7 tribes, underscoring the broad national reach and impact of our profession.

The event featured five educational tracks, 78 expert speakers, and 35 exhibitors, creating valuable opportunities for attendees to learn from leading certified professional, researchers, regulators, and industry partners. Beyond the formal presentations, the exhibit hall and Learning Lab sessions provided hands-on demonstrations, practical training, and meaningful peer-to-peer exchanges that highlighted emerging technologies and best practices across radon and vapor intrusion.

The IEA Annual Meeting offered members the opportunity to celebrate outstanding contributions through association awards, conduct association business, and announce the results of the Board election, including the newly elected directors and thanks to those departing the Board.

The week was a powerful reminder that the strength of the Indoor Environments Association comes from the engagement, expertise, and volunteer leadership of its members, all working together to advance healthier indoor environments.
