NRPP Certification Council Seat Vacancies

Do you have experience, knowledge, and want to make a positive impact? The National Radon Proficiency Program is looking to fill two vacancies on the Certification Council.

This solicitation is for individuals willing to serve for six months, plus an additional three-year term, representing the following sectors:

  • Radon Mitigation – Large Buildings
  • Consumer Interests

The NRPP Certification Council is the body that establishes criteria for initial approval and maintenance of NRPP radon certifications. This is a critical role for the radon industry and as such requires the input of individuals representing various stakeholder groups. The role of the Certification Council is particularly important as the NRPP is in the final steps of the process of restructuring its program to better fit the radon industry as it exists today with expanded application to commercial building testing and mitigation, as well as vapor intrusion, while paying close attention to the historic base of radon in homes.

Interested parties should:

  • Review minimum qualifications for individuals filling the seat for which you are interested – qualifications listed HERE.
  • Submit a maximum 2-page letter which includes:
  • Detail qualifications that meet or exceed minimum requirements
  • Resume
  • Short paragraph of your three-year vision for NRPP
  • Email with application attached to:

Applications will be reviewed at the end of April with terms beginning in early May. If a suitable candidate is not found, seats will remain open.
